He thought he found the perfect hiding spot. Thought, for once, that he was going to beat the dog at their game of hide-n-seek. Thought for sure, he would never look behind the curtain. So, he nestled in, laying as quiet as he could behind the curtain and waited.
Ten seconds turned into twenty turned into a minute. Boredom set in at the two-minute mark. Three minutes in, he abandoned his spot to see what was taking the lumbering oaf so long. He hunched down and looked around the room, spotting the dog sleeping on the kitchen floor. ‘Figures’, he thought to himself.
He moved into the kitchen and head-butted the dog. “Hey, we are supposed to be playing.” He said.
The dog opened his eyes, stuck his paw out and touched the cat. “I win.”
“What?! That’s cheating!”
“I win.” repeated the dog and closed his eyes again.
