The Days of This Life…

R. Todd:

The photo cracks me up. I wrote this thinking how the pigeons just peek away at the birdseed, not mindful of anything other then the next bite. How often do we treat out days like that, when we get to the end of the week or the month, or even the year and we are like… um.. where did the time go??? Yeah, I hate that.

Scratches On Paper…

R. Todd:

I love this one. I really do. Because at first read, it might come across as dark and brooding, but to my writer friends, you get this. I know you do. That, ‘bleeding on paper’ aspect I have written about before.

Fast Forward…

R. Todd:

Ok, here’s the story. I had this moment a few days ago where I was working on some lines, and I got in this ‘life is too fast’ kind of place. I wrote the first line and just let it sit. Today, I worked on it, and I ended up with the last two lines. Simple reminders to enjoy the moment.

The Future…

R. Todd:

Sometimes… you just need to look to the future. The past is just that… past.

How’s Your Day?

R. Todd:

I wrote this line about a week ago. Just something that mused in my mind. I kind of liked it, but, as it is short, I decided to just turn it visual. I kind of like how it turned out… still not sure I shouldn’t have just made it a picture on canva.com (where I do some of my title pictures)

Life…

R. Todd:

I wrote this poem… or whatever you classify it as… about a month ago. It started off a bit depressing, which was exactly where I was when I started writing it. But something inside me wouldn’t let me wallow, and as most of the poetry I write tends, it headed back into the light. Hope has a wonderful way of doing that, doesn’t it?
